Partnering and Scouting for Companies and Technologies

The dominance of software, shorter innovation cycles, new business models – all this has an impact on us, as a leading automotive technology supplier. In order to master these challenges, we respond with innovations, agility, new approaches and the collaboration with the best internal and external talents.

With our Global Innovation Hubs, we are right at the source, finding new and potential partners for future mobility.

R&D for autonomous driving and new mobility concepts

ZF is an agile technology company that essentially contributes to shaping the mobility of the future. In doing so, we transfer intelligent solutions from the fields of passenger cars and commercial vehicles to neighboring areas, such as micromobility and industrial technology.

A tightly woven network of engineers at our global R&D centers is the foundation for this. Whenever it makes sense, we cooperate with highly specialized partners from the ZF Ecosystem.

Silicon Valley

The newly opened ZF Innovation Hub in Silicon Valley aims at three targets: find the right partners in the areas of digitalization, artificial intelligence, automated driving and new mobility concepts, cooperate and invest.

As of late, the University of California in Berkeley has become an academic partner. Through this, ZF wants to promote the areas of highly and fully automated driving.
